Fidget spinners are hugely popular amongst children right now, but is the latest gadget already out of fashion?

The latest must-have toy is now the fidget roller - which much like the spinner - is said to help relieve stress and aid concentration.

The oblong shaped toy has rounded edges perfect for spinning. It works by placing it on a table - or a similar flat surface - and rolling it from side to side.

Due to its rounded edges you can also do various tricks with it. The best part is you can play with it on your own or in groups.

Is this new toy set to take over playgrounds?

The toy is still relatively new and isn't yet available on the high street but Amazon is selling them, with prices starting at £2.99.

Amazon seller Chenyd118 also claims that the toy is a useful tool for people dealing with ADHD.

Fidget spinners burst on to the scene last month and rapidly gained popularity amongst children.

The toy - which is believed to help focus the mind - works by users holding it between their fingers, flicking it and watching it go.

Spinners are quite small and can conveniently fit into pockets - which is perhaps part of the reason they have become so popular.

Toys R Us says of the spinner: "Not only is it fun and interesting, it can also help you to focus on daily tasks and relieve anxiety, simply hold the spinner in your hand and spin it rapidly with your finger."

There is a selection also available on Amazon ranging from £1.60 to £5.
