MPs and community leaders will be among the speakers at Saturday's #HandsOffHRI rally and march.

Thousands of people are expected to join the demonstration on Saturday, organised by the Let's Save Huddersfield A&E campaign.

Protesters will gather in St George's Square before the march through the town centre, and will return to the square to hear the guest speakers.

Jason McCartney

The Colne Valley MP will be the key speaker at the event. The Conservative member has been one of the campaign's most prominent figures arranging a debate in Parliament.

Paula Sherriff

The Dewsbury Labour MP is also expected to speak at the event.

The Labour Kirklees Council leader will be addressing the crowd, although not in his capacity as council leader.

Paul Cooney
