AFTER my moan last week about petrol prices I thought I’d do my bit to try and save money by emptying my boot of un-necessary clutter.

Inside were about 20 copies of the Examiner, two camping chairs, six litres of bottled water, two packed of mints and rucksack that doubles as a child carrier.

As well as being unwieldy to carry to the bin, the thought also struck me that if I ever broke down I’d have nothing to do if that lot ended up in the rubbish.

Back to the drawing board I’m afraid.
