WE’VE missed Global Belly Laugh Day. It was on Thursday, last week. I’ll make up by putting on a Peter Kay DVD. “Garlic bread! It’s the future.”

I was looking at what days are coming up because I’ve noticed adverts for Valentine’s Day already. You know the sort of thing: “Perfect presents for the one you love on Valentine’s Day.” As for Easter, Cadbury’s creme eggs came out soon after Christmas. In fact, chaps could combine the two and buy the lady in their life a dozen cream eggs for February 14.

I’ll bet they would be better appreciated than the red satin underwear set you’ve had your eye on. Chocolate, I have found, rarely goes amiss with the fair sex.

But before then, there are other days of which to take note.

Salt Awareness Week starts today. It’s aim is to raise awareness about foods loaded with salt. Be Loud Week also starts today, which is the annual Beating Bowel Cancer awareness and fundraising campaign. Definitely one to support. As is the Valentine Appeal which runs throughout February to raise money for the British Heart Foundation

The first Sunday in February is Stress Down Day, so I’ll do nothing but sit around and watch football on the telly. I have a Stress Down Day every Sunday. And I’m quite looking forward to March which is National Bed Month.

I’m not sure if I can manage a whole month in bed, but I’ll give it a go.
