_ Gardeners’ Question Time Evening – Armitage’s Garden Centres are holding another Gardeners’ Question Time evening at their Pennine Garden Centre at Shelley on Wednesday, April 6, starting at 7pm.

The panel includes BBC Radio Leeds expert Joe Maiden, Steve Smith, Armitage’s Planteria Manager and some chap called Graham Porter. _ National Gardens Scheme – with the 2011 NGS Yellow Book now available on-line at www.ngs.org.uk or from reputable garden centres and book shops, you have a chance to visit some fabulous private gardens over the coming spring and summer months as well as helping to raise vital funds for charity. There are four gardens in our immediate area, with countless others within an hours drive. Look out for Highfields at Skelmanthorpe on April 24, Lower Crawshaw, Emley on July 3, 2 Prospect Place, Outlane on July 10 and Sue Proctor Plants at Clayton West on August 5.
