FORMER Giants favourite Stanley Gene (right) has signed for Co-operative Championship Grand Finalists Halifax.
The 35-year-old utility player has agreed a one-year deal - with a 12-month option - with Halifax, who play Barrow in Sunday’s Grand Final at Warrington and have hopes of securing promotion to Super League in 2012.
Gene was out of contract at Hull KR and, although he was offered the opportunity to join the club’s backroom staff, he has opted to continue his playing career.
