MORE than 200 trees, shrubs and bushes were planted at Lindley C of E Infant School in November 1988.

Creation of a conservation area was part of a project the school entered in an environmental competition organised as part of the Examiner Pride in Huddersfield campaign.

Pictured planting one of the trees is Lindley Tower Townswomen’s Guild chairman Mrs Kathleen Brown.
