Raring to blow are these members of the Huddersfield Junior Brass Ensemble, who had a double part to play during the Examiner Charity Challenge during May, 1999.

At the start of the event they provided music, conducted by Alan Jazwinski, and then they went off cycling or walking to raise cash for the Huddersfield Youth Brass Ensemble.

This was the 10th year for the Examiner- sponsored annual charity trek and was centred on Huddersfield University’s Storthes Hall Park, Kirkburton.
