It’s certainly an unusual photograph ... but can you name anyone on it?
This bunch of chaps were members of the Josey Club in Kirkheaton – and the word Josey means they were all clay pipe smokers.
They used to meet upstairs in the Junction Inn (now the Yeaton Cask pub) and the photograph dates back to around 1925.
Kirkheaton History Group discovered the club’s existence as part of its project to record the memories of Kirkheaton Residents.
The group is seeking volunteers to help with the interviews and typing up the transcriptions.
Anyone who can help should email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact them via the Kirkheaton History Group on facebook or by phoning Colin Beaver on 07984 499600.
