It was a real winner! Today we look back 13 years to the 2000 Millennium Denby Dale Pie.

It seems only a short time ago, but people who were in their late teens then will now be in their 30s!

Here head chef Howard Gamble (right) and assistant chef Keith Brain give the final seal of approval to the meat and potato filling and it was declared that the pie had weighed in at a new world record of just over 12 tonnes.

The pie had been cooked in a dish 40ft long, 9ft wide and 3ft deep.

It included 4,864kg of British beef, 2,233kg of potatoes, 1,0008kg of onions and John Smiths Best Bitter.
