Their names are Phil and Kirsty and they’re planning a relocation.
Yes, they have the same first names as TV duo Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp, presenters of property show Location, Location, Location.
And Phil and Kirsty Gardiner are always being reminded of it.
Kirsty said: “People do laugh and comment when we give people our first names. We’ve got used to it now.’’
The couple are now on the move themselves – hopefully to the coastal town of Tenby in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales.
Their home of 15 years, a semi-detached property at Berry View, Newsome, has gone on the market and is a lovely family home, close to schools and local amenities.
Kirsty, who works for Estée Lauder in Huddersfield’s Boots store, said: “If we could pick the house up and move it to Tenby, we would. It’s been a great home and has everything we need for Phil and I and our two children, Lewis and Libby.
Phil, who is a fireman, said: “We’ve had many lovely holidays in Tenby over the years and always said we would like to live there permanently. We have made a lot of friends in Tenby and have already liaised with schools down there so all we need now is to sell our house and then look for a new home in Tenby.’’
Their current home has been extended to the rear to create a large dining kitchen, with a garden room providing an additional living/sitting area with doors to the rear garden. The couple have also completed a loft conversion with its own staircase to prove extra space, which could be adapted for a multitude of uses.
Downstairs the property has a spacious living room, large dining kitchen and garden room, and contemporary cloakroom.
The house has three very good sized bedrooms, a useful loft space, shower room, walk-in wardrobe and contemporary house bathroom.
Outside at the front there is a lawned garden with mature shrubbery and a driveway and to the rear is a low-maintenance decked garden, with views towards Holme Moss.
Kirsty said: “We have done quite a lot of work to the house, mainly the rear extension to create a garden room. Originally we thought about adding a conservatory but had heard they get very hot in summer and cold in winter. We wanted an extra room we could use all the time and it was definitely the right decision as we use it so much.’’
The house is ideally placed for local junior and high schools, is just a few minutes from Huddersfield town centre and easily accessible to local countryside with Castle Hill only a short distance away.
Kirsty said: “There is a gym at the nearby high school, which is open to the public so this is a great local facility. Hopefully we will be on our way to Tenby shortly. It’s a lovely place and we have always dreamed of moving there.’’
This is a super family home, which has been extended to create additional space and.
The property is being marketed by Boultons estate agents 01484 515029.
