GRAHAM has saved the NHS a colossal amount of money.

He achieved this by taking many medicines off prescription and into chemists and then on to shop shelves.

It’s estimated that over the years this has taken 70% off the NHS prescription bill.

“I submitted data and an application to say these medicines were perfectly safe and could be sold off prescription,’’ said Graham.

“It has saved the government between £200m and £300m a year since 1996. The biggest success was switching ibuprofen from pharmacy to grocery and now people can buy it anywhere.’’

And Galpharm was the first company to add flavouring to the medicine to make it easier and more enjoyable for children to take.
