Southport has just held its annual two-day Air Show at the end of September and organises the annual Southport Flower Show which attracts visitors from far and wide every August.
Southport is home to one of the UK’s most unusual museums, the British Lawnmower Museum.
Tourist attractions include Southport Pier, the second longest seaside pleasure pier in the British Isles. At 3,650 ft long, this cast iron pier is second only to Southend Pier and has a tram service which runs along its length.
