The festival of St Lucia, Sweden’s adopted saint, was celebrated by the Kirklees Anglo-Scandinavian Society at Stocksmoor Village Hall.
The festival of light in December 1988 included a procession led by Heidi Langton (second right) wearing a crown of candles to symbolise the coming of light to a dark world.
Also carrying candles were (from left) Lyndsay White, Tanya Langton and Alison Keighley.
