Youngsters who would like a taste of arts journalism are being invited to apply for a place on the Young Reporters Scheme, which will give them special behind-the-scenes access to a national touring theatre production.

TheatreCloud, the website which runs the scheme as part of the Arts Council-funded Arts Award, will place a team of young journalists at The Alhambra Theatre in Bradford this October for the premiere of Regeneration, the adaptation of Pat Barker’s acclaimed World War One novel.

During the week of October 7 to 11, the youngsters will be assigned a variety of media tasks - from interviews with the cast to making video blogs. All articles will be by-lined on TheatreCloud.com

To apply for the scheme entrants need to email a sample of their writing and a couple of story ideas around Regeneration at the Alhambra, along with their name, age and contact details to: reporters@theatrecloud.com The deadline for applications is August 15.
