A BRIGHOUSE-based company has won a smashing contract to supply stock cars with high-performance engine oils.

Millers Oils has signed a new partnership with stock car racing organisations BriSCA F2 and the Oval Racing Council.

It now becomes the official oil and fuel supplier for two classes of stock car racing, as well as official oil provider to ORCi during the 2008-2009 season.

More than 7,500 drivers take part in racing BriSCA F2 class cars and saloon stock cars during 600 meetings at 25 circuits across the UK each season.

The sport attracts thousands of spectators who enjoy the skills of high-speed oval racing.

The sponsorship deal aims to raise the profile of Millers Oils among the racing community, as well as offer drivers the use of high-performance engine oils and lubrication products.

Millers will also be providing its expertise to oversee random fuel sampling at race events to help maintain the competitiveness of the sport.

It is also supplying logo decals to every driver, as well as advertising across a range of racing event publications.

BriSCA spokesman Paul Brown said: “This sponsorship deal is a magnificent opportunity for Millers Oils to raise its profile within the short oval racing community. BriSCA and ORCi are fully supportive of its efforts to increase exposure.

“We will be actively helping Millers Oils reach a new market of customers by encouraging the use of its products among the drivers.

“We hope this in turn adds to growing retail sales of Millers’ products.”

Stephen Parker, Millers’ marketing manager, said: “We are an enthusiastic supporter of all motor sport and this deal is the latest in a long line of sponsorship initiatives.

“The continuing popularity of stock car racing makes the sport one of the most under-rated in the UK and Europe. We are proud to be involved with BriSCA and ORCi.

“The deal is one of the widest-reaching sponsorships Millers Oils has undertaken and will lead to our products reaching a larger audience on an unprecedented scale in the next two years.”

Millers Oils, which was formed more than 120 years ago, also supplies products for vintage, veteran and class cars, bikes and commercial vehicles, as well as the engineering and textile industries.
