ACCOUNTANCY firm and business adviser PwC has appointed Arif Ahmad as office senior partner in West Yorkshire in succession to Roger Marsh, who is retiring.

Mr Marsh, senior partner and Northern leader for government and public sector, will retire as partner and leave PwC at the end of June after 37 years.

Mr Ahmad, 37, who is assurance partner in Leeds, will take up the reins, leading the 700-strong office. He joined PwC's audit team in 1996 as an economics graduate and has also worked in London, Chicago and Cleveland in the United States.
