A CHARTERED accountant with experience in retail financial services in the UK and overseas has been appointed as a non-executive director of Leeds Building Society.
Robin Ashton (pictured), joins the board of the UK’s fifth-largest building society. The board now consists of four executive directors and nine non-executive directors under the leadership of chairman Robin Smith.
Mr Ashton qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand. His 25 years in the retail financial services sector includes roles as treasurer, finance director and chief executive at Provident Financial plc. He is also non-executive chairman of the parent company of Link Loans.
