A Huddersfield firm is celebrating the acquisition of its second business in less than six months.

Digital marketing agency Attercopia, which also owns WSI Yorkshire and Leeds-based Cloudspotting, has acquired the business of Proof Digital, a business based in Chippenham, Wiltshire.

Proof Digital – which was mentioned in eConsultancy’s Top 100 Digital Agencies list as “one to watch” – has an impressive client list including Samsung, Ricoh and Stagecoach.

The acquisition is the second since Attercopia was set up late last year and will help to build the company’s presence in the South West of the UK.

Steve Harvey-Franklin, managing director of Attercopia, said: “I’m very excited to announce that Proof Digital has now become part of the Attercopia Group.

“It’s brilliant news, especially as we’re looking to build our presence in Bristol and the South West.

“We will be reinforcing the great team we have in Chippenham with more talent over the coming months to extend the services we offer and can’t wait to see what exciting developments the future holds.”

Former owner of Proof Digital, Phil Cave, will be staying on as a consultant to the group.

He said: “We’ve been working very hard to find partners that can add considerable value, expertise and resource to the Proof Digital team in order for us to continue delivering the best possible service. And I am pleased to say that we have now found exactly that with the Attercopia Group.”

Attercopia Ltd was set up in December, 2014, to provide digital marketing services to businesses across the UK.

Cloudspotting was acquired in January while WSI Yorkshire moved from Holmfirth to premises at St George’s Square in March.
