A HUDDERSFIELD company has reached the final of a regional competition for new businesses.
Milnsbridge-based Message4it is one of 10 young technology companies battling to win prizes worth £30,000 in the Connect Yorkshire Investment Competition, which takes place on Wednesday at York racecourse.
The company is pioneering a range of hi-tech marketing services based on mobile phone technology.
It has been testing and launching its products with organisations including Huddersfield Town, the Galpharm Stadium and Huddersfield University.
Message4it has signed a 10-year sponsorship deal with the Galpharm Stadium to bring a mobile phone messaging service to Huddersfield Town fans.
It follows a successful pilot scheme to send text messages to Town fans on their mobiles.
The Connect Yorkshire competition is held during Venturefest Yorkshire – an event to help emerging technology firms contact potential financial backers.
