FASHION retailer Bonmarché is launching its first online sales site.

The company, which was a store at New Street in Huddersfield and was based at Grange Moor for several years, said the new site – to go live on April 6 – would make its ranges even more accessible to shoppers.

The chain has 387 stores across the UK.

Customers logging on to www.bonmarche.co.uk will be able to select from the range of clothing, footwear and accessories, including the popular David Emanuel range, and have their order delivered to their doors within five to seven working days.

Chief executive Richard Kirk said: “Bonmarché has played a significant role on the high street since its launch 28 years ago.

“The Peacock Group acquired it in 2002 and since then we have seen it move forward in leaps and bounds.

“The launch of the transactional website is yet another string to our bow – and we’re really excited and confident about what the future has in store for the brand.

The site has been developed for easy use and we hope it will ensure our customers have another way to pick up their must-have Bonmarché pieces at the push of a button.”
