HOMEWARE chain Dunelm said it was on track for higher profits after its value ranges drew in more shoppers.

The group, which has a store at the Ringway Centre in Huddersfield and 113 outlets UK-wide, lifted same-store sales by 3.8% in the final three months of 2011 after a 2% decline in the previous quarter.

The company said it had increased market share – helped by opening 11 new stores in the second half of 2011 and improvements to its online offering.

It now expects profits for the 26 weeks to December 31 to rise by 7% to £52m.
