THE future looks bright for an IT reselling company as winner of a local business award.
Paddock-based Brighter Connections was named Business of the Month in the competition run by Huddersfield’s Eaton Smith Solicitors, the Lockwood-based Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and Business Link.
Steven Pollitt (centre), of Eaton Smith, presented the award to Claire Phillips and Paul Wike (right), of Brighter Connections Ltd, with judges Chris Brown (left), of Brantwood Financial Planning, and Alan Lascelles, of Business Link.
Brighter Connections began re-selling branded IT equipment in 2003, since when the company has gone from strength to strength.
In the past seven years, the firm has increased staffing numbers to 12. It also doubled its turnover in the financial year 2009-2010.
Managing director,Darren Stringer said the company’s success was down to delivering what’s right for the customer at a time that’s right for them at a great price. Its commitment to delivering a great service led Brighter Connections to add a technical services division in October last year.
Brighter Connection also works with a strategically and carefully selected portfolio of key partners to offer cutting-edge technologies and IT solutions. The firm has ISO 9001 accreditation for its quality system and ISO 27001 accreditation for its information security systems.
Said Mr Stringer: “We are delighted to have been awarded Business of the Month, which will raise our profile even further in the local area. The team can be justifiably proud that our hard work and achievements to date have been recognised.”
The award is open to companies in Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. For details, go to www.eatonsmith.co.uk or contact Ian Greenwood on 01484 821389.
