YOUNG people can contribute hugely to business success.
Talented younger workers – whether on the shopfloor or the boardroom – can bring new ideas and enthusiasm to their role with the business.
Now the Fantastic Media Young Business Person of the Year Award provides a chance for those rising stars to shine.
Are you or one of your employees aged 40 or under a rising star in your industry, able to demonstrate outstanding achievements to date?
Our young business person of the year will display excellent leadership and management skills that drive success for their business.
Last year’s award recognised David Elliott, director of Shepley-based camper van conversion specialist Wellhouse Leisure for steering the business from a standing start to create a company employing more than 30 staff working with some of the car industry’s biggest manufacturers.
Through his efforts, Wellhouse succeeded in landing a ground-breaking deal to sell £1.4m of new motor homes from a large German firm.
Birstall-based marketing agency Fantastic Media is delighted to once again sponsor the award for Young Business Person of the Year.
Managing director Andy Hobson is a previous winner of the award and the company understands the importance of the Examiner Business Awards in recognising the region’s rising stars.
“It is imperative that young business people are given all the help and encouragement that the region has to offer, helping them to build their businesses here,” said Mr Hobson.
“A successful business community will attract further investment, triggering a positive cycle.
“The Huddersfield area has produced many young entrepreneurs, and continues to do so. The awards are an excellent way for established businesses to come together with new start ups to network and establish new regional links.
“Fantastic Media would like to wish all the entries into the Young Business Person of the Year the very best of luck.”
