AN award-winning branding and design agency is going back to school – to help firms understand how branding can boost their business.

Bradley-based 10 Associates has launched Brandschool to offer companies half-day or full-day courses explaining the principles of building a brand identity to turn their products or services into household names.

David Worthington and Jill Peel, founders of 10 Associates, said: “Successful businesses often fight shy of a branding concept, but like the first day at school, it can’t be avoided. Taking the plunge will open up both new opportunities for growth and for reward.”

They said: “A survey earlier this year suggested that 85% of UK business bosses expected design to play an important role in generating a recovery for some or all brands. And 65% believe that rebranding would help large corporate institutions get back on track.”

Brandschool uses a 10-point master plan as the curriculum to explain the key principles of branding – all without the buzzwords, jargon and hype that often get in the way of understanding and application.

Said David: “Sharing our specialist knowledge, ideas and experience in what is often perceived as a mystifying but vital marketing aid, is a very exciting and stimulating prospect for us and our clients.”

“Best of all, those who dread that first day at school needn’t worry – we’re happy to come to companies offices, or meet at a ‘playground’ away from work that have an inspirational surrounding.

“We then talk through everything from general branding principles and managing a brand, right through to specific aspects that can affect a business – and the huge benefits that ensue.”

Companies already “graduating” from Brandschool include AB Vista, a company supplying ingredients for animal feeds, and Keystone Health Care.

Said Jill: “In today’s climate, businesses must not and cannot afford to underestimate the power of successful branding, which can sustain and even grow business in these challenging and uncertain times.”
