A COMPANY in Huddersfield has teamed up with a charity to raise funds.

Cartridge World (Yorkshire) Ltd, based on John William Street in Huddersfield, has entered into a partnership with Bradley-based Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice to raise funds for the cause.

Based on the Cartridge World “Recycle It” scheme, the company has placed drop boxes in all eight Forget Me Not high street shops in the region for use by members of the public and volunteers collecting empty printer cartridges.

John Hirst, of Cartridge World said: “We need a constant source of good quality empty cartridges for our business to function and our ‘Recycle It’ programme is an excellent vehicle for this.

“We collect empty cartridges and pay a good price for each usable one, so it really is win/win situation for both of us. We are also both preventing valuable resource needlessly going into landfill and helping the environment”.

The scheme is managed and operated by Cartridge World and all materials needed, such as drop boxes, posters and explanatory leaflets are provided by the company at no cost to the hospice.

Jason Costello, of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, said:”I am delighted to have entered this partnership. This is an excellent way raising extra, much needed revenue and with very little effort and resource from us. Cartridge World does all the work and just sends us a regular cheque.”
