TWO employees at Cleckheaton accountancy firm Clough & Company have raised £1,500 for two charities following a sponsored swim and walk.

Katie Fairbrother, a case administrator in the firm’s insolvency department, raised £700 for Help for Heroes by swimming across Lake Windermere. Ann Brown, senior manager, raised £800 for Breast Cancer Research by taking part in the Moonwalk in London.

Said Katie: “It’s the first time I have done anything like this – but I have family in the forces and wanted to raise money for Help for Heroes so I decided to sign up to the ‘Great North Swim.’

Ann was determined to raise money for Breast Cancer Research, explaining: “Both my mother and grandmother have had breast cancer and I lost my grandmother to the disease,”

Both Katie and Ann were sponsored by family, friends, colleagues and clients.
