A VACANT church, shop units and houses feature at a forthcoming property auction.

Property agent Eddisons has assembled 146 lots for its next two-day sale.

Lots include instructions from LPA receivers, local councils and breweries along with a vacant church building, ground rents, tenanted retail and vacant and tenanted houses.

There are also a number of lots on behalf of Yorkshire Water, some of them offered at declared nil reserves.

Among the lots is a high yielding part-retail, part-residential property in Halifax. The freehold property on Crown Street, incorporating a ground floor retail unit plus two flats sold off above, is offered at a guide price of £75,000 plus. Annual rental income is currently £9,300, including £300 ground rent giving a potential return of over 12%.

Tony Webber, of Eddisons, said: “This is a bumper catalogue with a wide variety of lots providing opportunities for all types of buyers. Much of the stock is priced to sell as vendors continue to react to market conditions, which mean there should be plenty of bargains.”

At the firm’s previous auction, 80% of all lots offered sold, generating total proceeds of nearly £6.8m.

The two day sale takes place on March 31 at Leeds United Football Club, Elland Road, Leeds and on April 5 at The Ferguson Suite, Premier Inn, Trafford Park, Manchester. Both sales start at 12.30pm.
