A COMPANY supplying windows, doors and conservatories has made a fruitful move.
Sash Windows, based at Lockwood, has been named West Yorkshire Regional Installer of the Year for its work designing and building orangeries.
The award was presented by Hartlepool-based manufacturer The QRS Group Ltd after judges inspected the workmanship carried out by its installation partners across the region.
Sash Windows sales director Keith Cosgrove said: “We have been designing and installing orangeries for the past 18 months after linking up with the manufacturer. It is a quality product.
“QRS has chosen 30-odd companies across the UK as partners.
“QRS has been out to inspect the workmanship, design, the intricacies of the structures and how the orangeries look against the property they have been built against.”
He added: “We were chosen because of our innovative, bespoke designs and our careful attention to detail to create stunningly attractive orangeries.
“The orangeries create seamless extensions to various different architectural styles and all of our designs either matched or complimented our customers’ existing homes.
“Our orangery designs were well-proportioned and very elegant.”
Mr Cosgrove said more and more homeowners were opting for orangeries as a means of extending their properties.
“They are more of an ‘all-year-round’ room than a conservatory,” said Mr Cosgrove.
“They are a cheaper alternative to building a conventional extension and because they allow the light to flood into the space below they don’t ‘darken’ adjacent rooms the way some extension might.”
