PROPERTY agency Walker Singleton has completed a “substantial” letting at Cleckheaton.

The 18,000sq ft warehouse and industrial unit at Riverside Drive, close to junction 26 of the M62, has been let off an asking rent of £80,000 after being vacant for a matter of weeks.

The new tenant, Cutwel Ltd, is a leading supplier of performance cutting tools and machine tool accessories . The move will see the business expand and relocate from its existing site in Dewsbury.

Jonathan O’Connor, of Walker Singleton, said: “The speed and quality of this letting shows the continuing demand for modern accommodation in the region. It is extremely encouraging to be able to facilitate such a deal to support a local business like Cutwel who continue their growth as well as producing a strong rental income for our client.”

Walker Singleton has been retained to sell Cutwel’s existing premises at Central Street in Dewsbury, which offers 7,000 sq ft of workshops, stores and offices and is being marketed at £295,000.
