A HOLME Valley engineering company has put in an award-winning display at a national exhibition.

HB Bearings, based at Honley, won the prize for best small stand at the Autosport International Engineering Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

The award was presented to managing director Graham Hirst by Tony Tobias, technical sales manager for engineering and manufacturing technology with event organiser Haymarket Exhibitions.

HB Bearings, formed in 1972, produces special bearings for the motorsport industry and has high-profile customers in the UK and overseas. Special bearings are tailor-made using the latest equipment and materials.

Autosport International Engineering is one of the major annual motorsport events in the world and last year attracted more than 27,000 visitors over the two days.
