A CONSUMER campaigner who exposed the worst examples of customer service offered sound advice to an audience of business people in Huddersfield.

Mark Bradley, author of Retails of The Unexpected, was a guest speaker at a meeting of the Huddersfield Town FC Business Forum.

Mr Bradley’s book, which was launched at the Galpharm stadium last autumn, chronicles the “dire” state of customer services offered by some businesses ranging from banks and restaurants to energy companies and train operators.

Also speaking at the event were Steve Black, conditioning coach at Town, and the football club’s chairman-elect Dean Hoyle.

The event, which was attended by about 60 guests from the Kirklees business community, was held in association with law firm Chadwick Lawrence, which has offices in Huddersfield.

Guests were welcomed by Chadwick Lawrence senior partner Jeremy Garside.

The evening finished with a buffet and networking before guests were invited to stay on to cheer Town in their League I match against Colchester United.
