Menswear brand Charles Wilson Clothing has commissioned fellow Huddersfield firm Digital Velocity to tailor its online presence.

The growing fashion brand, part of Fashion Empire Ltd, specialises in high-end smart and casual menswear and has annual revenues in excess of £1.5m.

Digital Velocity, based at the Media Centre, will work with the company to overhaul its online store and digital marketing services, introducing the latest technology and retail strategy.

Tom Howe, senior brand manager at Lockwood-based Charles Wilson, said the online project comes at a time when the brand is preparing to stimulate growth by diversifying its product range.

“Our business is growing quickly and it’s essential that we get our digital offering exactly right so that we can continue to offer customers what they want and introduce them to our expanding collection,” he said.

“Working with Digital Velocity means we are building firm foundations for digital trading with a partner that truly understands ecommerce and will know our business inside out.”

Richard Taylor-Jones, managing director of Digital Velocity, said the new digital strategy would help reduce operating costs and drive online sales.

“Keeping retail prices low without impacting on product quality is a key priority for Charles Wilson,” he said.

“We are looking forward to working with the fashion house to explore innovative ways of introducing this exciting brand to more customers.”
