A BUSINESS support group in Yorkshire has appealed for entries to its 2011 awards.

ABDN – The Network of Influence is seeking nominations for nine categories in the its Aiming High Awards to be held on March 31 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

Labour leader Ed Miliband (pictured) will be the keynote speaker at next month's Business Awards Dinner to be Held in Leeds as a celebration of the region's phenomenal talent by leading entrepreneurial business support network ABDN.

The group’s 13th annual awards will celebrate the achievements of outstanding businesses across Yorkshire who have contributed to the economic regeneration of the region.

Last year’s event attracted 850 guests – and this year organisers expect interest to be even stronger. The event will be hosted by actor and comedian Paul Chowdhry.

Awards include ones recognising the outstanding business of the year, SME of the year, brand of the year, young entrepreneurs, most promising new business, innovation, service and the best company to work for.

Chairman Arshad Chaudhry said: “It is fantastic to see the incredible range of talent our region has to offer and even better to be able to create an environment which recognises its success and develops a wider network of business support.”
