KIRKLEES manufacturers are being urged to show they’re fit for the future.

Firms of all sizes are invited to take part in the EEF Manufacturing Future Awards – to demonstrate how manufacturing and engineering companies are at the forefront of re-building the UK economy.

The regional and national awards run by manufacturing employers’ group the EFF include categories for innovation, enterprise, environmental responsibility and apprenticeships.

The judging panel is chaired by Prof Steve Evans, of Cranfield University.

The awards will be judged in six regions across the UK throughout September. Regional winners will be named in November with the national awards being presented next January in London.
