MORE than 45 businesswomen were in Huddersfield for the first in a new series of networking events.
Heritage Group’s premises at Wellington Mills, Lindley, hosted the event on behalf of regional business networking group Forward Ladies.
The event, supported by banking giant HSBC and Huddersfield law firm Ramsdens, was introduced by Forward Ladies founder Etta Cohen, who spoke on effective networking.
Forward Ladies aims to help women in the professions and those running their own companies or in senior executive positions to expand their business contacts with the goal of growing their businesses further.
Mandy Barwick, of the Heritage Group, said: “We were simply overwhelmed with the response we received to our first event at Heritage – with guests travelling from as far afield as South Yorkshire.”
“This is the first of many events we will stage throughout the year.”
Sinéad Sopala, of Ramsdens, added: “Our first event was a true success and we can only thank the local professional business ladies for joining us.”
The next Forward Ladies event takes place on Wednesday, March 3, at Ramsdens Solicitors’ head office at Halifax Road, Edgerton.
