THE Holiday Inn at Brighouse has established itself as a major venue for business events in the Kirklees and Calderdale area.

The hotel, built in 1989, offers 94 rooms as well as six meeting and banqueting rooms accommodating up to 200 delegates. Other facilities include the Junction restaurant, a bar lounge and a fully-equipped health club with swimming pool, sauna, spa pool and steam room. There is also an enclosed courtyard providing an ideal venue for functions and weddings.

Said a spokeswoman: “There are workplaces where people come into work with a smile on their faces and are so inspired by their working day, their bosses and their colleagues that they keep that smile there.

“Most of our employees tell us we are already a pretty good place to work. Our commitment is that we will become an even better place to work – and one of the best – because all the evidence is that when people love coming to work they perform at the highest level.”

Staff at the hotel are given “room to be themselves” to encourage employees to use their unique personalities, talents and ambitions to bear in the workplace.

Said the spokeswoman: “We spent a year gathering insights through focus groups, external research, feedback from our employee survey and talking to people and asking what’s important to them.

And what’s important to them is that they can be an individual at work.”
