GRADUATES from universities across Yorkshire will be in Huddersfield for a major careers fair.

Huddersfield University’s careers service is hosting the event from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday, November 4, at the Quayside building on Firth Street.

About 30 organisations, including manufacturers, retailers and public sector employers will exhibit at the event.

Susan Taylor, of the university careers service, said: “The annual autumn careers fair is for current students, recent graduates of the university and graduates from other institutions who may be interested in attending.

“Exhibitors are looking to recruit for both graduate and part-time temporary positions.”

The event will focus on careers, placement and voluntary work opportunities.

Ms Taylor said: “It is also an opportunity for graduates and current students to practice their networking skills, even if they are not yet ready to apply for a job.”
