PROPERTY agents will assemble in Brighouse this weekend for an emergency summit to discuss the impact of falling house prices, stagnating sales and the credit crunch.
Top UK experts will lead the talks at the Northern Property Summit to be held on Sunday at the Holiday Inn, near Clifton.
The event has been organised by Huddersfield property investor Bobby Gill and event company eConfex Ltd, of Littleborough, near Rochdale.
Mr Gill said: “The summit is an emergency meeting to be held in response to the dramatic economic changes taking place, including the credit crunch, falling house prices, stagnating house sales and the property crash.
“The meeting also provides an opportunity for business networking and the chance for local estate agents to be in a room full of potential buyers.”
He added: “Property investors are notorious for not wanting to pay ‘the going rate’.
“With falling prices, valuations seem like moving targets, which may provide basis for some horse trading.”
