Special cushions will warm the dugout

TOWN players left warming the subs' bench can watch matches at the Galpharm Stadium in comfort - thanks to a Huddersfield firm.

Five Squared, of Armitage Bridge, has provided the club with sets of new gel-filled cushions, which are said to offer "a new revolution in seating comfort".

Five Squared is the sole UK importer and distributor for the Re-bound brand of soft polymer gel cushions.

The cushions have been provided for the dugout - and for VIPs watching the game from stadium sponsor Galpharm International's executive box.

Jeremy Hoyle, managing director of Five Squared Group, said: "The cushions are unique because of their individual, honeycomb-structured interconnected gel cells, which enable unrestricted flow of blood to the muscles while sitting.

"Unlike traditional foam cushions, Re-bound products allow bodyweight pressure to be evenly distributed. In other words, no more pressure points and numbness."

Jim Gardner, director of business development for pharmaceutical firm Galpharm, said: "Watching the match will now be a much more comfortable experience - especially if we go into extra time!"

Town physio Lee Martin said: "Players who are not playing the full 90 minutes will sit in comfort, with the added benefit of maximising bloodflow to the muscles.

"The cushions will definitely allow the players and staff to sit in comfort and take the chill out of the cold, hard plastic seats."

Five Squared also supplies Re-bound gel-filled cushions for pet beds, car seat back rests, tractor seats, exercise bikes and motorcycles.

The company also provides consultancy to firms on ways to reduce noise and vibration for operators using power tools, such as drills and hammers.
