KIRKLEES businesses offering student or graduate internships have a few more weeks to enter the National Council for Work Experience Awards 2012.
The deadline to enter the awards has been extended to Friday, January 6, 2012, to take into account the busy festive period.
Organisations from all sectors can enter one or more of the 12 categories available at www.work-experience.org/awards. Entry is simple, with just four questions covering, why a work experience scheme is outstanding, its goals and objectives, and support and assessment.
Mike Hill, chief executive of the Higher Education Careers Services Unit, which operates the NCWE, said: “We’re delighted to announce Dr Paul Redmond as the main speaker at this year’s awards ceremony.
“As one of the country’s leading experts on the graduate labour market, Paul is sure to prove popular with the crowd of around 200 people who are dedicated to helping raise internship standards.
“All shortlisted companies are given a free place at our awards, which are always a glittering affair and offer an excellent opportunity to network.”
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
