Huddersfield-based company Pennine Business Partners has renewed its sponsorship of a rising cricketer.

The coming season will be the fourth that Pennine Business Partners has been Alex Lees’ official player sponsor.

The Halifax-born player, pictured receiving his county cap from captain Andrew Gale, has formed a solid partnership with Adam Lyth at the top of the order for Yorkshire which was a crucial part of the club’s County Championship title success in 2014.

His efforts were noted and brought him individual honours as Young Player of the Year from the Professional Cricketers Association, Yorkshire CCC and the Cricket Writer’s Club.

Lynn Bradley, of Pennine Business Partners, which provides HR, marketing and health and safety services, said: “We were concerned that our association had somehow jinxed him in the sodden summer of 2012, but we need not have worried because Alex has gone on to break into the first team, win his county cap and gain international recognition.

“Our sponsorship with Alex gives us a formal link to Yorkshire Cricket Club and a connection with a talented sportsman who is also a really good person. It has also opened up opportunities to meet other businesses that support Yorkshire cricket and watch a few games.”
