A COMPANY providing industrial rollers has completed a six-figure contract with a customer in Germany.

Shelley-based Rollertech impressed conveyor systems company Interroll following a visit to its premises in Dusseldorf by Rollertech managing director Carl Slingsby.

Interroll is a major manufacturer of conveyor systems, supplying drum motors and idlers across the world for applications including airport baggage handling, supermarket checkouts and storage systems.

Rollertech provided equipment for a new “grinding cell” at the Interroll factory. The new cell will produce 20,000 rubber-coated rollers initially, rising to 30,000 in due course.

Costings for other equipment and training schedules for Interroll’s staff were included in Rollertech’s proposals.

Mr Slingsby, who has 20 year’s experience in the industry, said:

“As a result of bringing us on board, Interroll is now making substantial savings.”

Rollertech, at Willows Business Park, has clients ranging from international rubber companies and precision engineering firms to the Ministry of Defence.
