ROYAL Bank of Scotland completed a shake-up of its boardroom by appointing two more non-executive directors.

They are Philip Scott, outgoing finance director at insurer Aviva, and former Coca-Cola executive Penny Hughes.

Ms Hughes, 50, has previously served with Swedish bank SEB, Argos owner Home Retail Group, Gap, Vodafone and Reuters.

Mr Scott, 55, has held senior roles at Aviva. He joined that business in 1973 as a trainee actuary for Norwich Union.
