A ROW over the summer drink Pimm’s came to an end after supermarket Sainsbury’s agreed to change labels on its “copycat” Pitchers bottles.

Drinks giant Diageo had threatened legal action against Sainsbury’s after the supermarket chain launched its own gin-based spirits drink to which lemonade and fruit can be added.

But the firms said they had reached a cordial settlement under which Sainsbury’s will continue selling Pitchers, but with modifications to its label.
