SPORTS brand Gola has appointed an agency in Huddersfield to design its advertising campaign for 2011.

The SHARP Agency, which has been in business for just a year, impressed Gola executives by employing its Co-Create by SHARP method of generating good ideas.

In this case, SHARP enlisted a talented group of Huddersfield University students to help develop the new campaign (right).

The students worked with the SHARP team, led by Richard and Darlene Sharp, to develop the campaign for the Gola Classic brand.

Donna Hill, marketing manager for Gola, said: We were thoroughly impressed by the level of insight that the Co-Create process provided and are confident the creative solution we arrived at will strike a natural affinity with our core audience.

Mandi Taylor, planning partner at SHARP, said: Co-Creating ideas with the audience also delivers the richest insight to work with.

We are delighted to be working with Gola, one of Britains iconic fashion brands, creating ideas that will keep the brand relevant to all its audiences.

This is the second big win for SHARP this year, following hot on the heels of its appointment as lead agency by Best Western Hotels.

SHARP, based at the Media Centre, Northumberland Street, is headed by Richard Sharp, Darlene Sharp, Tom Wass and Mandi Taylor.

Clients include Best Western Hotels, the National Union of Students, Chrysler, Aesica Pharmaceuticals, Duck Tape and NHS Sheffield.
