AN insurance broker with a business in Huddersfield has completed a key takeover.
Oval, which acquired Wilkinson Rodgers at Longroyd Bridge last September, has bought independent financial advice firm Futurity for an undisclosed sum.
It is the first time Oval - based at Wakefield - has purchased a stand-alone IFA.
Oval is now talking to several other firms with a view to concluding further deals.
Oval Financial Services Ltd is already a significant player in the market with turnover of £13m.
Futurity is Oval's 15th takeover since November, 2003.
Futurity employs 10 advisers and 12 support staff with offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The company forecasts sales of £1.7m for the year to April, 2007.
