A GROUP helping business leaders in Huddersfield develop wider skills has launched a new programme of events.
An organisation called Common Purpose has set up TheKNOW, based in Leeds.
It will give decision-makers across West Yorkshire a chance to meet, generate ideas and develop their leadership skills to benefit their businesses and the communities in which they work.
TheKNOW will cover Kirklees, Wakefield. Calderdale and Leeds.
It will bring together a diverse range of people from the public, private and voluntary sectors. They will spend time at locations across the region, meet its key leaders and develop their understanding of what makes the place tick.
Victoria Minton, who has been working for Common Purpose in Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield for the past 10 years, will be a consultant to support the Leeds team in developing TheKNOW.
She said: “I am constantly amazed at what happens when leaders from different sectors are brought together and given the opportunity to share their experiences and perceptions of living and working in Yorkshire.’’
The new programme begins in May. Anyone who would like to be involved should phone Common Purpose on 0113 350 5010.
Common Purpose is an independent leadership group aiming to improve the way organisations and society work.
It operates throughout the UK and Ireland, Sweden, The Netherlands, France, South Africa and Germany.
