COLNE Valley area committee has approved £95,000 of investment into local projects and businesses.
Lib Dem Clr Robert Iredale, said: "£95,000 is a sizeable investment and the committee is pleased by the range of local groups and projects it has been able to support.
"It was wonderful to see this meeting extremely well attended," added Clr Iredale.
Projects included £60,000 for improvement works on a number of footpaths across the Colne Valley.
Longwood Mechanics Hall received £10,633 to pay for the removal of asbestos and a feasibility study into its future refurbishment.
Huddersfield 4th Golcar Scout Group received £1,000 towards upgrading equipment.
And £1,200 went to pay for new signs at Cowlersley community centre and primary school.
