A COMPANY mixing architecture and graphic design are the latest winners of a monthly business award.

Elland-based Virtual Resolution, a full service, architectural visualisation and graphics studio, was presented with the Business of the Month Award for October by Huddersfield law firm Eaton Smith.

Virtual Resolution was formed in 2009 by Tim Power and John Hales.

Mr Power, managing director, had spent several years working as a regional manager for a leading group of international architects before the decision to set up Virtual Resolution offering clients a full range of services in graphic design and 3D modelling services. Mr Hales, technical director, brought into the business a wealth of skills and experience within the field of architectural visualisation and graphic design.

Since 2009, they have successfully grown the business despite difficult economic times. They have seen a marked increase in developing high-profile clients. Their greatest success was to be chosen as “visualiser” for ASDA Walmart and sole supplier for presentational 3D information for all new and proposed supermarket schemes in the UK and throughout Europe.

Mr Power said: “I’m delighted that Virtual Resolution has been recognised. As a local company in a specialist field it is great to be able to bring employment and skills to the area and its good to know that our hard work is paying off.”

The Business of the Month Award is run in association with the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and UKTI. It is open to firms in Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield.
